WORCESTER___Theodora A. “Theda” (Michalak) Misiewicz, 81, of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday June 12 in St. Mary Health Care, 39 Queen Street. Her husband of 48 years, Stanley A. Misiewicz died in 1999.
She leaves a daughter, Judith A. Grillo of Gardner; a son, Robert S. Misiewicz of Kernersville, N.C., a brother, Charles Michalak of Shrewsbury; a sister, Martha Niedzwicki of Carver; two granddaughters, Katherine Misiewicz of Greensboro, N.C., and Elizabeth Misiewicz of Kernersville and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Shrewsbury, a daughter of Jerry and Helen (Kasper) Michalak and lived there all her life.
Mrs. Misiewicz worked at Shrewsbury High School and was the head cook there for many years before she retired. She was a member of St. Anne Church, Shrewsbury and its Women’s Guild.
A memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Anne’s Church 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Health Care, Activities Dept, 39 Queen Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01610.
