Mary Anne Gillis, 96, of Malden passed away on June 14th, 2007 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center. She was born in Canada on November 28th, 1910 and lived there until moving to Brookline as a young adult. She has lived in Malden for the past 30 years. Mary worked as a private cook serving many families in the Boston area for several years before her retirement. She enjoyed being a member of the Gaelic Club in Watertown and being a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden. She was predeceased by her parents John D. and Jessie (MacLellan) Gillis and her siblings Peter, Ronald, Donald, Allan and Mary Kate Gillis and Margaret A. Bosselman. She is survived by her loving nephew and godson Charles Bosselman of Malden and several nieces and nephews in Canada. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Saturday June 16th at 9 AM followed by Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday June 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
