Mrs. Odessa Brown was born January 16, 1934.
Odessa was an outstanding person and also a member of Union Hill C. P. Church under the leadership of Reverend McKinley Jones, where she previously served as President of the Missionary Society.
She departed this life on June 12, 2007 at Huntsville Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, James Brown, Jr.; seven children, Henry Russell, Joan (David) Jefferson, Marjorie Ray, Tawanda Ray, Ezekeil Ray, Jr., Deborah Matthews (Jonathan) and James Brown, III; five brothers, Willie B. Jones (Mary), Edward Jones (Bessie), Carl Jones (Katherine), Judge Lee Jones, Jr. (Bebley)and Otha Jones; three sisters, Mary Alice Davis, Martha Stone and Sarah Jamar (Arthur); eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday from the Union Hill C. P. Church with Reverend McKinley Jones officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. The remains of Mrs. Brown will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
