Obituary

WORCESTER-Viola G. (Larson) Carrigan, 91, of 26 Harvard Street, formerly of 1060 Main Street, died Sunday, November 24th in U-Mass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus after an illness. Her husband, Cyril D. Carrigan died in 1970. She leaves a son, Terence P. Carrigan of Worcester; 4 brothers, Everett Larson of Douglas, Robert Larson of North Brookfield, Carl Larson of Worcester and Donald Larson of Holden; 5 sisters, Mildred Chabot of Ashland, Evelyn Willard of South Plainfield, NJ, Marjorie Coughlin of Wakefield, RI, Eleanor Howe and Dorothy Corrigan both of Worcester; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Carrigan in 1995 and a brother, Roy Larson.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Carl and Selma G. (Anderson) Larson. Mrs. Carrigan was employed as a clerk for Green, Eisenberg & Small Insurance Company for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 27th at 10:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, November 27th from 9:00 until 10:00 AM in the funeral home. After cremation, the committal of ashes will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
