Salvatore J. Pignatone, age 82, died Monday evening, June 11, 2007 in Melrose at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Faustino Pignatone.
Salvatore has been a Medford resident since 1953, when he and his wife moved here from Boston´s North End. He worked as a police officer for Middlesex County . He retired in 1992 after 17 years in law enforcement.
Salvatore is survived by his beloved wife Concetta (Uccello) Pignatone. Devoted father of Paul S. Pignatone and his wife Ellen, and Richard M. Pignatone all of Medford. Loving grandfather of Nicole Pignatone, Janelle Quintero, Joseph and Peter Pignatone.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 5 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
