Pauline E. “Polly” (Latham) Desilet, 80, died at Nemasket Healthcare in Middleboro on Wednesday, June 13 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Donald P. “Desi” Desilet. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She was a resident of Carver for 27 years after living in Hanson for over 20 years. Mrs. Desilet was an organist, playing at various clubs on the South Shore for many years and taught the organ for many years before retiring 20 years ago. She also was a children’s clothing buyer at Butner’s in Plymouth for 5 years. Mrs. Desilet enjoyed boating and was a member of Point Independence Yacht Club in Onset and an associate member at Little Harbor Golf Club in Onset. She was an avid reader and card player.
Mrs. Desilet is survived by her sons, Kenneth W. Fardie and his wife Sherry of FL and Donald G. Fardie and his wife Sandy of Lakeville as well as her grandchildren, Dawn Tessari, Daniel Prussmann and Lisa Lawson. She was the former wife of the late William H. Fardie. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, June 18 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM.
