Margaret “Peggy” Shane passed away peacefully at Avalon Care Center in Mystic on June 13, 2007 after a long illness.
Peggy, as she was known, leaves behind her beloved Husband of 28 years
Richard F. Shane of Mystic, a daughter Linda A. Stout and Barry Hill of Oakdale, a son John J. Carton and his wife Kathy Ackley Carton of Groton, and a daughter Maureen Brown and her husband Kenneth Brown of Groton and a step daughter Rebecca McRoberts and her husband Michael McRoberts of Glastonbury as well as six grandchildren, Haley Stout, Kristine Carton, Sarah Carton, John Carton, Heather McRoberts and Matthew McRoberts and her sister Eleanor White of Middleboro, MA.
She was predeceased by her parents Max Ruediger and Sarah Melady Ruediger of Plymouth, MA as well as a brother George Ruediger of Plymouth, MA.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday from 11am-1pm, followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic. The Rev. Doretta M. Colburn will officiate.
