STRATHAM, NH-Martha (Kosiavelon) Daileanes, 83, of Stratham, NH, and formerly of Lowell, MA died on Sunday, June 10th in Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire. She was the beloved wife of Stergeos Daileanes with whom she was married for 66 years.
She was born in New York City, NY a daughter of the late Athanasios and Maria (Hirsch) Kosiavelon. She graduated from Lowell High School.
Mrs. Daileanes was employed by Lowell Institution for Savings as a bank teller for many years, until she retired in 1963.
She was a member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
In her free time she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addtion to her husband, she is survived by her son, Kostas "Charlie" Daileanes and his wife Elaine of Lexington, MA; her daughter, Marie MacArthur and her husband John of Hooksett, NH; her brother, Theodore Kosiavelon and his wife Ruth of Lowell, MA; four grandchildren, Stergeos K. Daileanes of Lexington, MA, Anne Marie (MacArthur) Olkovikas and her husband Jonathan of Sandown, NH, Martha (Daileanes) Sevigny and her husband Thomas of Lexington, John W. MacArthur, Jr. of Hooksett, NH; five great grandchildren, Christian Sevigny, Noah Sevigny, and Grace Sevigny all of Lexington, MA, Arianna Olkovikas and Zoe Olkovikas both of Sandown, NH; her sister-in-law, Zelma Kosiavelon of Dracut, MA; many nephews and nieces.
She was also the sister of the late Francis "Buddy" Kosiavelon.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, MA, on Wednesday, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, from the funeral home at 9:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM in the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell, MA. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell, MA. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
