Helen Ragnhild (Larson) Clarke, 92, passed away on June 6, 2007 at the Lutheran Home in Worcester, MA.
She leaves her son and his wife, Jeffrey and Louise Clarke of Worcester; a granddaughter and her husband, Erica and Jaya Boerman of Leverett, MA; a grandson, John Clarke and his fianceƩ, Colleen, of Holden, MA; and two great-grandsons, Odin and Finley Boerman of Leverett. She also leaves a sister, Elsa Gustavsson of Sweden; and two nieces. Her husband, Roland H. Clarke, and two sisters, Alice Larsson of Sweden and Thyra Jacobson of Arizona, predeceased her.
Helen was born in Billingsfors, Sweden, the daughter of Karl and Sophia Larsson. She was orphaned at the age of five and was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Leonard and Alma Larson, in Worcester when she was 10.
Helen graduated from Commerce High School and worked at Arda Grinding, the Statehouse in Providence, Rhode Island and retired from George F. Blake Steel. She was a member of All Saints Church and the John Ericsson Lodge of the Vasa Order of America.
Funeral arrangements are private. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests that contributions may be made to the Worcester Educational Development Foundation, Inc., Room 102, 20 Irving St., Worcester, MA 01609.
