Worcester – Roy B. Sharron, 85, of Worcester died on Friday, June 8 in the Parsons Hill Nursing Home after an illness.
Mr. Sharron is survived by his wife Cecile C. (Hebert) Sharron of Worcester; two sons Stephen F. Sharron of South Grafton and Leonard P. Sharron of Auburn; a daughter Cynthia A. Corey of Worcester; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Sharron was born in Worcester son of Francis and Blanche (Roy) Sharron and is predeceased by two sisters Jeannette McGee, Blanche Sargent and Frances Fisher
Roy was a self employed painter and musician for 50 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church and volunteered as a senior companion at the Age Center of Worcester for many years. Mr. Sharron was also a member of the Musicians Union #143.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 11 at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Sweden Church 1 Wiser Ave. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, June 10 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Catherine of Sweden Church 1 Wiser Ave. Worcester, MA 01607.
