Samuel W. “Sam” Bonugli, 67 of Medford, formerly of Italy died Friday after a long illness in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA.
Born in Fosciandora, Italy, he lived in Medford since 1956 and was the son of the late Adelaide M. and Aurelio Bonugli. Sam was a Celebrated Chef and retired in 1990 from the Downtown Club at the State Street Bank where he had worked for 13 years and previously he was the Chef at Joseph’s Restaurant in Boston for 25 years.
Beloved husband of Mary (Sequeira) Bonugli. Devoted father of Jack Bonugli of Medford. Brother of Natalina Franchi of Medford, Agnes 'Aggie' Tassinari of Somerville, Carla Giudici of Watertown, Jean Soave of Newton, and the late Aurora D’Agnello.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
