Obituary

Robert R. “Bob” Power, 70, of Medway, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 7, 2007 at his home.

Born in Millis on November 9, 1936, he was a son of the late John F. and Mildred (Frink) Power. Mr. Power was a resident of Medway for over 50 years.

Before his retirement, he worked for the highway department for the town of Medway for 23 years and as highway superintendent for his last 2 years.

Mr. Power was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Medway and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by; three sons, Michael Power and his wife, Deborah of Medway, Scott Power of Medway and Jonathan Power of Milford, a daughter, Rebecca Power of Bozeman, Montana, and two brothers, Justin Power and his wife, Marie of Millis and Jack Power and his wife, Ella of Rangeley, Maine.

He is also survived by his former wife, Joan (Fontaine) Power of Milford and two grandchildren, Leigha and Bryan Power.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, June 13 at 9 a.m. from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph’s Church, P.O. Box 557, Medway, MA 02053.
