Bailey, of Monponsett, June 6, 2007, Patricia A. Bailey, 62 years. Sister of Eileen T. Bailey and her fiancé Edward M. Dreznin of North Easton, William M. Bailey of Bridgewater and Keith Gironda of Plymouth; best friend of Carol Hathaway, beloved godmother of Kim Chartier and very good friend of Michael Aftosmes. She also leaves many loving friends, relatives and former co-workers.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday June, 16, at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Brockton. At Patricia’s request, visiting hours are omitted. Patricia A. Bailey died Wednesday June 6, 2007 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary I. (Sands) Bailey and had been a resident of Monponsett most of her adult life. She was a graduate of Bridgewater State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Master’s Degree in Special Education and had been an English teacher at Oliver Ames High School in Easton for 36 years. Patricia loved to travel throughout the world and especially enjoyed her trips to Ireland; she was an avid reader, member of the Bridgewater Garden Club; was passionate about the theater and the arts, but more importantly, she believed in living life to the fullest. Patricia was a tutor in her spare time and a volunteer at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She is survived by a sister Eileen T. Bailey and her fiancé Edward M. Dreznin of North Easton, two brothers William M. Bailey of Bridgewater and Keith Gironda of Plymouth, her best friend Carol Hathaway, her beloved godchild Kim Chartier, her very good friend Michael Aftosmes and many loving relatives, friends and former co-workers. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary I. (Sands) Bailey.
