Obituary

Mrs. Verna H. (Lowe) Martin of Falmouth, formerly of Malden and beloved wife of the late Alphonso Martin, died at the Royal Nursing Center in Flamouth on June 5, 2007. She was 96 years old.
Born in Canada, on January 13, 1911, she was a beloved daughter of the late James C. and Pearl H. (Milton) Lowe. Mrs. Martin was an assembler for various manufacturing plants for many years. She had been a resident of Medford for 18 years and of Malden for more than 34 years, prior to moving to Falmouth and was a long time member of the First Community United Methodist Church.
She will be sorely missed by three loving children and their spouse’s; Pearl M. and her husband Charles Brown of Kissimmee, FL, Alphonso C. and his wife Arlene Martin of Hudson and James K. and his wife Ester Martin of Switzerland, three devoted sibling’s; Jessie Murphy of Everett, Virginia Bager of Somerville and Shirley Hand of Kissimmee, FL, 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles Lowe and Beuler Dunne. Her funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends attended. Visiting hours were Sunday from 4 to 7 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
