AUBURN__ Jayne T. (Banach) Swenson O’Connor, 87, formerly of 111 Country Club Blvd, Worcester, died Wednesday June 6, in Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband, Patrick T. O’Connor died in 1994. Her first husband, Carl P. Swenson died in 1956.
She leaves a son, Kenneth C. Swenson and his wife Barbara of Oxford; three brothers, Wallace M. Banach of Auburn; Edward J. Banach and the Reverend Henry S. Banach both of Worcester; two sisters, Mary R. Dillon of Worcester and Helen Nedroscik of East Douglas; two grandchildren, John Swenson and his wife Mary, and Heidi Swenson, all of Oxford; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Mary Jayne, John and Hailey Swenson, all of Oxford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John P. Swenson, a brother, Chester Banach, and five sisters, Genevieve O’Brien, Rita Banach, Wanda Sokolowski, Statia Yuknavich and Alycia D. Skedgell. Jayne was born in Worcester, a daughter of Stanislaus and Antonina (Stomski) Banach and lived in Worcester most of her life.
Mrs. O’Connor was a homemaker. She graduated from the former Commerce High School, Worcester. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Saturday June 9, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday June 8, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
