Tonya Renee Minson was born on November 15, 1967 to the late James Lee Minson and Virginia Louise Minson in Marshall County, Alabama. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Livingston Chapel A.M.E. Church. She worked for Gold Kist Poultry Plant for many years. Tonya was later employed at RidiN Clean Car wash where she worked until her death.
Tonya was preceded in death by her father.
She departed this life on Friday, June 1, 2007. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother, Virginia; three children, Dewan, Laquita and Tyreke Minson all of Guntersville, AL; five brothers, Alphonso (Regina) Minson, James Fitzgerald Minson, Thomas Minson, Tyrone (Jamie) Minson, and Torrey (Mary) Minson all of Guntersville, AL; three uncles; nine aunts and one great aunt, Ivilla Harris of Albertville, AL; a very good friend, Alethia Love of Guntersville, AL; god mother, Linda Watkins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Minson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007 from the Livingston Chapel A.M.E. Church with Reverend William Slade officiating. Interment will be in Guntersville City Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home handling the services. The remains of Ms. Minson will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
