Gloria (Cohen) Cannavo, a longtime resident of Revere, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2007 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody. She was 71 years old.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Morris & Esther (Feldman) Cohen, Gloria was raised & educated in Revere where she graduated from Revere High School. Gloria devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed bowling, music, dancing, & was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley. Gloria was a member of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Revere.
Wife of the late Clinton “Clint” Oborne, Gloria is survived by her children, Roberta Cannavo of Revere, Elaine Cannavo of Chelsea, Doreen MacDonald of Pepperell, Gary Cannavo of Revere, Charles Clinton Oborne, Jr. of Everett, & Gregory Oborne of Lynn. She was the dear sister of Harvey Cohen of CA, Richard Cohen of Milton, & the late Shirley Cohen. Gloria is also survived by 13 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in the New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be private.
