Phillip M. Mormino 78, died Monday June 4th in the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of 53 years to Catherine T. (Foley) Mormino.
Born and brought up in Quincy where he graduated from Quincy Trade School he was the son of the late Mathew and Rose (Gentile) Mormino.
He worked as a custodian for the Quincy School Department for 35 years.
He lived in East Bridgewater for 41 years where he was an active member of the YMCA there, as well as an umpire for East Bridgewater Little League and surrounding towns.
Phillip served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and was a life long member of the American Legion of Bridgewater.
He was a dedicated father & husband.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Phillip J. Mormino of Hawaii and Karen T. St. Clair of Hanson, his grandson Gary J. St. Clair of Hanson, his brother Joseph Mormino of Florida, and his sisters Josephine LoDico of Mansfield, Christine Johnson of Quincy, and Mary Lee of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday June 7th at 11:30 AM in the Massachusetts VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours omitted by request of the family.
