LYNN: Elizabeth C. “Betsy” (Hafford) Frost, 64, died Friday, June 1, 2007 in the North Shore Medical Center, Salem following an extended illness. She was the wife of Richard D. Frost.
Born in Allagash, Maine on April 24, 1943, she was the daughter of and the late Charles Hafford and Ruby (Jackson) Hafford. She had resided in Manchester, NH, Albany, NY and Hartford, CT for many years before moving to Lynn sixteen years ago.
Betsy was employed as a secretary for the Department of Transportation in the State of New York for many years. She was also a member of the Cornerstone Church of Beverly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Jerritt Hafford of Goffstown, NH and Saundra Hafford of Hephzibah, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Dwayne Hafford and a sister and brother-in-law, Diana and John Neos.
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9th in the Centerville Church, 135 Standley Street, Beverly at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Cornerstone Church, c/o the Rev. David Green, 14 McKinley Ave., Beverly, MA 01915. Interment was privately held in the North Beverly Cemetery.
