Mrs. Lorraine Margaret (Russell) Guenther, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Kurt Joseph Guenther, died at the Lifecare Center in Stoneham on Sunday, June 3, 2007. She was 75 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on March 7, 1932, she was a beloved daughter of the late Walter F. and Charlotte G. (Parker) Guenther. Mrs. Guenther was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gambling. She had a unwavering trust and confidence in people, especially her beloved family. She also loved to play touch football with her brothers.
She was the loving mother of Carol J. Ravichandran of Michigan and the late Paul S. Guenther, devoted sister of William F. Russell of Reading, Eleanor M. Wipfler of Bristol, CT and the late Walter L. Russell, Dorothy Connolly, Virginia Mulligan and Robert Russell. She was also the cherished grandmother of Stephen and Krissy Guenther and is survived by many nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford, Wednesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours were in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
