Robert B. Coakley, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home. He lived in Windham, NH for 30 years.
Bob grew up and was educated in Wakefield, MA graduating from Wakefield High School. He served his country in the US Air Force stationed in Europe and New Mexico. Bob was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed golf, vacationing in St. Maarten and North Conway, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was considered a jack of all trades who could fix anything and was always willing to help others with repairs and home improvement projects. Bob worked at Sales Engineering Company in Salem, NH.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jean (Pastorello) Coakley of Windham, NH, his son, Bob Coakley of Arlington, MA, his daughters Deana & her husband Chip Bonnett of Winchester, MA and Jennifer & her husband Michael Hayes of Derry, NH and his grandchildren Madalyn and Natalie Hayes and Tyler Bonnett. He is also survived by his mother E. Thelma Coakley of Wakefield, MA, brothers, Richard and Stephen Coakley of TX, Laurence Coakley of AZ, sister, Gail Coughtry of FL and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Laurence Coakley and his sister Carol Malonson.
Visitation is Tues from 5-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will be Wed at 10AM at St. Matthew’s Church in Windham, NH. Burial will follow.
