FRANKLIN—Mrs. Louise V. (Lang) McLaughlin 93, a resident of Franklin since 1981 died Sunday June 3, 2007 at the Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. McLaughlin who died in 1980.
Born in Boston, June 6, 1913 a daughter of the late George and Veronica (Handwerk) Lang she was a resident of the Boston area before moving to Franklin.
She was educated in Boston schools and was a graduate of the former Holy Trinity School in Roxbury. Until her retirement in 1978 she was a medical secretary for the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston.
Her interests included reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering her time to the Tri-County Elder Services assisting the elderly in the local area with shopping and getting them to all their appointments.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the American Association of Retired Persons, the Franklin Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three daughters Marie MacSwain and her husband David of Franklin, Margaret Morris and her husband Paul of Dover and Clare Beneway and her husband David of Westwood, a brother Leo H. Lang of Wolfboro, New Hampshire.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Sr. Marie Barbara Lang C.S.J., Helen Lang Daesen, Frank and George Lang.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday June 6, 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 9AM. Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
