Mabel (Coucci) Souza, 90, of New Bedford died Saturday June 2, 2007 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel Souza.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anastasia (Reca) Coucci, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Souza was formerly employed by Eastern Sportswear and Knapp Shoe Company until her retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Guy J. Sinagra, Sr. and his wife Bernice, and William T. Souza, all of New Bedford; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was the grandmother of the late Ian Souza, great-grandmother of the late Jarred Sinagra, and sister of the late Louise Gioiosa, Mary Picinisco, Christina Regis, Guido Coucci, Albert Coucci, and Guy Caucci.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation Wednesday 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
