TEWKSBURY - Warren F. Hupper, a well know Tewksbury businessman, died Friday evening,
June 1, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, with his family by his side. He was the
husband of Teresa L. (Wohrman) Hupper, with whom he had celebrated a 36th wedding
anniversary this past September 26th.
Mr. Hupper was born in Stoneham, April 12, 1939, a son of the late Clifford and Kathleen (Cline)
Hupper. He was raised in Wilmington, on the family’s Mink Farm, and graduated Wilmington
High School with the class of 1957. He moved to Tewksbury in 1970.
He was the owner and operator of Tew-Mac Airport in Tewksbury from 1958 until 1997. The
airport was converted to Tewksbury Country Club after the sale. As the operator of Tew-Mac,
he was a flight instructor, and proud to be among a very few F.A.A. Certified Flight Examiners in
New England. He was also a dealer for the Grummen Aircraft Company. Mr. Hupper was the
building owner and a regular at the Airport Diner, and after the restaurant closed, donated the
memorabilia imbedded counter top to the Tewksbury Historical Society.
Warren also served the Town of Tewksbury as a member of the Council on Ageing for over three
decades, and had also been a member of the Friends of Tewksbury Hospital.
As a second career, Mr. Hupper founded the Deep Rock Water Company, which he has operated
for more than 20 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his beloved daughters, Jennifer Cabral and her husband
Gonsalo of Milford, NH, Jessica Mulvey and her husband Keith of Salem, NH, Laura Wilkinson
and her husband Brian of Tewksbury; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl Hupper and his wife
Martha Jackson of Chelmsford; 6 grandchildren Robert and Leeandra Zaremba, Meghan and Riley
Mulvey, and Nathan and Derek Wilkinson; and 1 great grandson Zachary Zaremba.
A Memorial Visitation was held Thursday, June 7, in the Funeral Home. Donations in Warrens memory may be made to the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, 41
