SULLIVAN – Joseph P. “J” age 50 of Jamaica Plain, died Thursday May 31, 2007. After a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, Joe was the owner of Flanagan and Seaton Motor Car Co. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes and graduated from Boston College High School class of 1974. With his love of cars and his family Joe took F&S from a small car lot in Brookline to a wholesale warehouse in his home town of Jamaica Plain. Joe was also a passionate sports fan, coaching his sons Little league team, as well as being a season ticket holder to BC basketball, Patriots and Red Sox games he always knew the score.
Joe is lovingly survived by his wife Ida “Mae” a son Joseph R. a daughter Jocelyn, his father Joseph R. and his mother and business partner Dorothea Sullivan all of Jamaica Plain. He is also survived by a brother John L and his wife Georgina of Braintree. Son in law to Minnie Rowlings of Jamaica Plain, brother in law to James and Kathleen Rowlings, Edwin and Barbara Rowlings, Diane Handley and Evelyn Rowlings. Dear friend to Ted and Donna Bunnell and Paul Handley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday June 5th. at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
