Obituary

THOMPSON, CT – Dorothy G. “Dot” (Audette) Beaudry, 88, of 53 Blain Road, N. Grosvenordale, died Monday, May 28, in Haven Health Center, Killingly, after an illness. Her husband of 47 years, Victor J. Beaudry, died in1987.

She leaves a son, Victor A. Beaudry and his wife Janice Perry, with whom she lived; a sister, Lorraine Jarosz of Webster; a granddaughter, Julie Noelle Beaudry of New York City; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her beloved cats Junior, Harley and Smokey.

She was born on March 31, 1919, in North Grosvenordale, one of the nine children of Zoel and Rose Delima (Chaput) Audette, and was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Beaudry was a spinner at Cluett-Peabody mills. She then worked at Webster Shoe. She worked for over 10 years at the American Optical Company in Southbridge, MA before retiring in 1980.

She baked a famous chocolate cake on a weekly basis for family and friends. She was known for her infectious laugh. She was devoted to her family all her life.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 8, in Saint Joseph Church, 18 Main Street. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the Oncology Department of Day Kimball Hospital, 320 Pomfret Street, Putnam, CT 06260. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA.
