Obituary

DRACUT-Denise C. (Cappi) Rudolph, 56, resident of Dracut, and formerly a resident of Hudson, NH, died Friday, June 1st at home surrounded by her family, after a 14 year battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of Robert W. Rudolph with whom she was married for 35 years.

She was born in Lowell a daughter of the late Dr. John Cappi and the late Stephanie (Gralewski) Cappi and graduated from Dracut High School. Mrs. Rudolph obtained her bachelor degree in mathematics from the University of New Hampshire.

Mrs. Rudolph was employed by the Greater Lowell Technical High School where she worked as a teacher for 31 years. For the last several years she also worked for Barrett Real Estate during the summers.

She was an advisor for the Greater Lowell Tech SkillsUSA. Mrs. Rudolph volunteered for the Dracut High School Scholarship Telethon, the Dracut Charity Golf Tournament and the Middie Lettermen's Club Charity Golf Tournament. She was a member of the Vesper Country Club.

In her free time she enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially vacationing at the beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Robert W. Rudolph, Jr. of Dracut; her daughter, Stacey A. Kennedy and her husband Michael of Billerica; her brother, Albert E. Cappi and his wife Sally of Wakefield, NH; her sister, Barbara Kanavos of Hudson, NH; her granddaughter, Caitlin Denise Kennedy of Billerica; her sister-in-law, Vanessa Myers and her husband David; her nephews and nieces, Mark Cappi and his wife Karen, John Cappi, Linda Lavoie and her husband Jason, Stephanie Kanavos Hartley and her husband Paul Hartley, Jeff Kanavos and his wife Farra, Courtney Myers, Susan Torres and her husband Mark; and many great nephews and great nieces.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral services will be on Tuesday from the funeral home at 10:30 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, 9 Riverside Road, Weston, MA 02493.
