Mrs. Dora (Faella) Laurenza, 95, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, May 31st, 2007 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence, MA.
She was born in Naples Italy, Mrs. Laurenza came to Lawrence, Massachusetts at 2 1/2 years old. She was educated in the Lawrence School System.
Mrs. Laurenza was the Owner of Dotty-Dots Beauty Shop on Maple Street in Lawrence for some 50 years. She was an attendant of the Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Laurenza left school at a young age to take care of her 6 siblings, while her mother worked in the mills.
The widow of Angelo F. Laurenza and mother to the late: Geraldine Faro-Pratt.
Her family members include her Grandchildren:
David Faro of Haverhill, MA
and Laurine A. Faro of Georgetown, MA
her Great Grandchildren: Brittany, Ashleigh and Jordan Faro all of Haverhill, MA.
Her sisters: Tina Borrelli of Lawrence, MA., Joan DeRoche of Methuen, MA, Viola Hassey of Lawrence, MA. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Laurenzo was also sister to the late: Mary Cummings, Vincenza Kowleski and Anthony Lomastro.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 4th, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Her burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
