Georgette (Fafard) MacDonald, 90 died Thursday May 31st in the South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Malcolm J. MacDonald.
Born in Montreal, Canada she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rozanna (Lambert) Fafard.
She was a resident of Abington for 85 years and worked at Sigma Instruments in Braintree before her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Bridget Church of Abington where she was a member of the ladies sodality and a very religious person.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas MacDonald of Whitman, Roland MacDonald of Rockland and Norman MacDonald of Hanover, her sister Arlene Cerrato of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Roland & George Fafard and Jean Kleinowskis and Fern Beal. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday June 6th at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a 9:00 AM mass in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland. Visiting hours will take place Tuesday June 5th from 4-8 PM.
