Frances (DiZio) Gallo, of Medford, died Wednesday at Glen Ridge Nursing Center, Medford. She was 86.
Mrs. Gallo was born and raised in East Boston, the daughter of Vincenzo and Evelyn (Ferromosca) DiZio. A Medford resident since 1956, Frances worked as a supervisor at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She was an active member of Medford’s Senior Citizens Club.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Gallo. She was a devoted mother to Anthony Gallo, Jr. and his wife Jana of Londonderry, NH, Marie Gallo Roberts and her husband Vincent of Everett. She was a loving grandmother to John, Mark and Jessica Gallo. She was a dear sister to Ray DiZio of East Boston, Peter DiZio of Derry, NH and the late Conrad DiZio.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Sunday from 3 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
