William J. “Bill” Grossi, 81 of Medford, died Wednesday after a long illness.
Born in Beverly, he lived in Medford for the past 41 years and was the son of the late Chiara (Cappola) and Achille Grossi. Bill was a Engineer, with the Boston Edison Company for 30 years in the Engineering and Construction Department and retired 20 years ago. He was a 1944 Medford High School graduate and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeaster University in 1948. Bill was a member of Boston Edison Retirement Association and the Arlington Retirement Men’s Club.
Beloved husband of Edna M. (Ferrera) Grossi. Devoted father of Paul Grossi and his wife Cindie of Lexington, Donna Belmonte and her husband Thomas of Tewksbury, Joseph Grossi and his wife Maggi of Wayzata, MN and the late Steven Grossi. Loving grandfather of Emma, Peter, Clara, Michael and Paula. Brother of Louise Fanciullo of Medford, and the late Blondino Grossi.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
