Plantsville, CT—Louise (Jaffarian) Babigian, 74, formerly of Boylston, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Arthur “Artie” Babigian, died in 1996. She leaves three sons, Dr. Anthony Babigian and his wife Kristin of Avon, CT, Michael Babigian and his wife, Beth of Snellville, GA, and Dr. Alan Babigian and his wife Deena of Farmington, CT; a brother, Richard Jaffarian of Haverhill; 2 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born and raised in Haverhill, daughter of Fred and Yeghsa (Markarian) Jaffarian. Through the years, she worked as an assembler for Western Electric, a clerk for SMS (School & Municipal Systems), and administrative clerk at her son’s podiatry practice. She was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, Sudbury Women’s Republican Club, and League of Women’s Voters. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and loved her sons unconditionally.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Armenian Church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held today, Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA. A Dahngark Service will be held during calling hours.
