Obituary

Terence W. Mahoney - Of Dedham, a retired International Business Executive for Raytheon Co., died Memorial Day, May 28, 2007 at his home in Dedham after a long struggle with heart failure. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Conlon) Mahoney. He leaves his devoted wife Yoshie, his adoring daughter Dr. Kathleen Mahoney Beith of Longmeadow and 2 grandchildren, Sara and Michael Beith. Terry also leaves his nephew Martin Mahoney of NH and 3 nieces, Pat Mahoney of OR and Candice Joy and Mary Fiedler of ME.

There are many more friends and extended family that is grateful for the positive impact he made in their lives and all of whom will miss him tremendously.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, on Monday at 8:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.

A resident of Dedham for the last 45 years, he was a 1941 graduate of Manchester Central High School in NH where he was valedictorian. He was a 1948 graduate of Brown University and during World War II served with the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Motor Torpedo Squadron 6 PT 124 Solomon Islands Campaign in support of actions of Guadalcanal, Tulagi and Bouganville where he was awarded a Bronze Star with Combat V.

Late member of the National PT Boat Assoc., Dedham VFW Post 2017 and American Legion Post 18.

At Raytheon, where he worked for 40 years, Mr. Mahoney was responsible for International Marketing for certain business areas of the company.
