Angelina L. (Michaud) Belanger 84 of Madeleine Ave, died Monday evening at the Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Jean Paul” Belanger. Mrs. Belanger was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Albert and Rhea (Boiselle) Michaud.
Mrs. Belanger was a spinner for the former French Worsted for 32 years and worked at A.T. Cross for 13 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Sr. Citizens, and the St. Agatha’s Sr. Citizens groups. She was also very active in fundraising for the Oblate Fathers of Lowell MA.
She is survived by two sons; Louis Belanger and his wife Theresa of Pawtucket, and Roger Belanger and his wife Hope of Lexington KY, two granddaughters; Sherrie-Lynne and Kimberly Belanger both of Pawtucket, a brother Edmond Michaud, of Woonsocket, and a sister Theresa Ferland also of Woonsocket. She was also the sister of the late Raymond Michaud.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, in Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
