Giuseppe Raffaele, of Medford, formerly of East Boston, died suddenly, Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford. He was 51.
Mr. Raffaele was born in Italy, and is the son of Angelo and the late Giovanina (DeCrescenzo) Raffaele. He came to the United States 32 years ago and settled in East Boston. He lived the last 20 years in Medford.
He was a Laborer in the costruction industry and was a 30 year member of Local 22. Mr. Raffaele was also a member of the Society of La Madonna Di Anzano.
He is survived by his wife Antonietta (Frano), a daughter Joanne Szymanski and her husband Paul, and sons Angelo and Michael all of Medford. He was the grandfather of Michaela and Isabella Szymanski.
Giuseppe also leaves four sisters: Phyllis Capuano of East Boston, Antoniette Boucher of NH, Maria Raffaele of NH, Tina Maniscalco of East Boston; and two brothers: Frank Raffaele of Revere, and Carmen Raffaele of East Boston.
Friends may visit Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford/Somerville, Saturday at 9:00 am.
Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett.
