Funeral services will be held on Thursday for Alice (Abrams) Freedman of Revere, formerly of Malden & Chelsea. Mrs. Freedman entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2007 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. She was 92 years old.
Born in Providence, R.I., the daughter of the late Hyman & Minnie Abrams, Mrs. Freedman was raised & educated in Providence, R.I. prior to moving to Malden where she graduated from high school. For many years she was employed as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Freedman was a member of Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea, Hebrew Senior Life in Roslindale, & the Jack Satter House Tenants Association.
Wife of the late Lawrence Freedman, who died in 1991, Mrs. Freedman is survived by her children, Arthur Freedman & his wife Myrna and Gerald Freedman & his wife Wilma; her grandchildren, Marc, Ronda, Robin, Andrew & his wife Kim; her great-grandchild, Riley Freedman; & her sister, Ruth Ganz of Methuen. She was the sister of the late Ethel Shriber, Estelle Fix, Beatrice Herf, & Helen Kreponitsky.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA. Burial will follow in the Chevra Mishna Cemetery, Lynn. Memorial observance will be held at the Jack Satter House, 420 Revere Beach Blvd, 9th Floor, Revere, MA 02151 immediately following the funeral on Thursday & on Friday from 1-4 PM. Contributions in Mrs. Freedman’s memory may be made to the Jack Satter House Tenants Association at the above address.
