Joyce Link Sirmans, 71, of Tifton, died Monday, May 28 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, June 1, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. James Faircloth and Eddie Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sirmans was born March 26, 1936, in Angola, Indiana, to the late Clifford and Charlotte Corey. She lived in Ben Hill and Irwin counties for the past 35 years, coming from Michigan. She was a retired waitress, having worked at Mamie’s Seafood at the Ocilla Truck Stop. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda & Kenneth F. Woodruff of Tifton and Rita & Richard Caton of Ocilla; son & daughter-in-law, Lawrence “Larry” & Trish Link of Fitzgerald; 6 grandchildren, Martha Watts and Kenneth Woodruff, both of Tifton, Lee Reynolds of Fitzgerald, Jamie Paulk of Sycamore, Patricia Wade and Shawn Link, both of Fitzgerald; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Minnick and Leroy Minnick of Michigan. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Edward Charles Link and Tillman Wayne Sirmans, 1 daughter, Ruth Marie Link, 2 brothers, Rex McClougan and Bennie Minnick and 1 sister, Mary Thompson.
