Obituary

Bertha (Weinhold) McAloon, affectionately known by family as Butch, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at her property in Waterboro, Maine. Formerly of Methuen and North Andover, she was the daughter of Charles and Grace Weinhold. A graduate of Methuen High School, she worked for many years in the Methuen Town Hall and later owned and operated Town and Country Paint and Wallpaper in North Andover. Later in life she moved to Waterboro where she also worked in the town hall. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cottage in Biddeford Pool Maine. She was active in each community volunteering for activities such as the Waterboro Historical Society, the Taylor House Committee, and various theater box offices. She also enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking, gradening, needlepoint, e-mailing friends and family, yard sale-ing and had a lifelong passion for animals.

She is survived by husband William McAloon Jr. of 48 years, Sons: William and wife Megan McAloon of Windham, NH, Charles McAloon Sr. of Portland, Maine, Robert and his wife Leah McAloon of Methuen, MA. and Brian McAloon Portland, ME, along with seven grand children: Kaitlyn, Kevin, Charles Jr. Catherine, Christine, Cullen and Nicholas.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31st at 10:00AM in St. Michael Church in North Andover, MA 01845. A burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. A memorial service will ne held on Friday, June 1st, 2007 in the Waterboro Town Hall at 6:00PM.
