Franklin-Clayton Harold Greenwood, 75, of 7 Baldwin Street died Saturday morning, May 26 2007 at Franklin Regional Hospital.
Clayton was born in Montpelier, Vermont on September 29, 1931, the son of the late Clifford and Mary J (Forrest) Greenwood. He was raised in Woodsville, New Hampshire. He then moved to Belmont in the 1960’s and to Laconia in the late 1980’s. He had been a resident of Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin for the past three years.
Prior to his retirement Clayton was a machine operator at the former
Allen-Rogers Corporation in Laconia.
Clayton is predeceased by his wife Cleo Rachel (Houle) Greenwood who died in 2003, and a brother Leo Greenwood.
Clayton is survived by his son Michael Greenwood of Webster, NH; five brothers, Raymond Greenwood of Belmont, NH, Eugene Greenwood of Laconia, Paul Greenwood of Charlestown, NH, Butch Greenwood of New York, and Alfred Greenwood of Laconia; four sisters, Bernice Morrissette of Laconia, Mary Dubois of Laconia, Lorena Herbert of Alabama, and Terry Hammand of Frankin; two grandsons, Anthony Greenwood of Webster, NH, and Travis Greenwood of Farmington, Missouri. Several nieces and nephews also survive Clayton.
A graveside service was held on Friday June 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia. There were no visiting hours.
