GLOUCESTER: Ryan Scott Burgess, 23, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 26, 2007 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Born in Gloucester on January 18, 1984, he was the son of Valdor L., Jr. and Karen Sue (Moore) Burgess. Ryan loved the water from an early age and was an avid drawer. He enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, spending time with his friends and he loved animals, especially his dog “Buddy”. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Aron Burgess and his fiancée, Mandy Milan and Eric and his wife, Jessica Burgess, paternal grandparents, Valdor and Helen (Cluney) Burgess, his longtime girlfriend, Amy Otis, a half brother, Derek and his wife, Karen Reed, several aunts and uncles, Lorna and William Doherty, Kim Parisien and her fiancé, Vincent Rick, Linda and Robert Korinko, Valerie and Ernest Sadler, Beverly and Ronald Horvitz and Linda and Michael Lasley, several nieces and nephews, Kaylee Burgess, Nathan, Jeremy and Katherine Reed, many cousins including, Nathaniel, Kyle and Caitlyn Doherty, Jennifer, wife of Gary Thornton, Melanie Lane, Andrea Sadler, Joy, wife of Ben James, Kenneth, husband of Naoko Taylor, Joshua Medeiros, Heather Choulas, Brennan Stewart, Tara and Jason Korinko, Faye, wife of Anthony Passanisi and their children, Anthony, Jr., Paula and Christina, Janet and her husband, Tom Casey and their children, Toni Lee, Tara, Troy and Tim, a close friend, Rory McNinch and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louis and June Moore and Edmund Grace and a cousin, Damon Lasley.
His funeral services will be held on Wednesday in the Trinity Congregational Church, Middle Street, Gloucester at 1 P.M. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 260 Main St., Gloucester.
