Obituary

Patrick W. Burke, 81, of Andover, Mass. Died May 25, 2007.
Born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on February 18, 1926. Education at St. Rosalia Parochial School, Central Catholic High School, and Mount Mercy College, (now called Carlow College). He also attended the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Burke served in the United States Navy during WW II. He was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He was called back for service in Navy for the Korean War. Awarded again with the UN Medal, Korean Ribbon 2 Stars, and the China Service Ribbon. He left the Navy on February 26, 1953 with the rank of Lieutenant JG.
His work included Home Sales in Pittsburgh, PA, Dynamic Research in Massachusetts, and other business interests in Denver Colorado. He was predeceased by his sister, Virginia B. Clark and his brother Robert E. Burke, Jr.. He was the son of Robert E. Burke and Leanore (Egli) Burke.
He was a golfer, avid tennis player, and noted for his congeniality. He was a communicant at St. Michael’s Church in No. Andover, where he took an active interest in the St. Martha Society serving the church. In the last twenty years he sought and studied a deeper understanding of the Divine and God’s role in the meaning of life. Requiescat in pace. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church West Roxbury on Wednesday May 30 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Robert J.
