
Methuen, MA – William W. Pringle, 91, died in Lawrence on Thursday May 24, 2007 at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation.
Born in Haverhill Mr. Pringle had been a longtime resident of Lawrence.
He had been employed with, and had many assignments for the City of Lawrence prior to his retirement.
William was an attendant of Saint Monica’s Church of Methuen. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a coach for the Eagle Tribune Basketball Team at the YMCA, was also the Basketball Coach at Essex County Training School, a former scout for the Kansas City Royals, actively involved in Lawrence politics, and active in the YMCA.
William assisted Johnny Fallon’s Camp Lawrence for boy’s which was located in New Hampshire.
Mr.Pringle is survived by his wife of 69 years Margaret (Ferris) Pringle.
Survivors also include a sister Emily Vose of Methuen, nephews and nieces; Arthur & wife Barbara Pringle of Hampton, NH, James & wife Barbara Pringle of North Carolina, Carolyn McDougall of Methuen, Janet & husband Robert Hertrich of Windham, NH, and David Vose & wife Donna of Methuen and many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter Margaret Kramer.
A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery Methuen.
