Methuen, MA – Blanche C. (Lacharite) Mahoney 83, died Wedenesday May 23, 2007 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center in Lawrence.
Born in Lawrence, Blanche graduated from St. Joseph’s grammar school and Lawrence High School class of “1943”. For 27 years Mrs. Mahoney was employed at Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen / known today as Caritas Holy Family in the accounting department.
Blanche was an active communicant, and 40 year member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem as well as Eucharistic Minister at church.
She was in the 1st group of crossing guards at the Foss School of Salem, NH, belonged to the Methuen Senior Citizens, and the Rainbow Club. Mrs. Mahoney was also a volunteer for Methuens Festival of Trees.
A longtime resident of Salem, NH Blanche was the widow of James F. Mahoney, Sr. Survivors include two sons; James F. & his wife Dawn R. Mahoney of Hampton, NH, and Brian & wife Linda A. Mahoney of Pelham, NH, sisters, Eveline Therrien of Lawrence, and Doris Cummings & husband Francis of Chelmsford, sister-in-law Doris Mahoney of Lawrence, 3 grandchildren Allison, Sean, & Brandon Mahoney of Pelham, & many nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
She was predeceased by brothers Roland, Wilfred, Rene, & Raymond Lacharite and one sister Bertha Soucy.
A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
