Obituary


WORCESTER-Anthony J. Boudas, 82, of Worcester died, Thursday, May 24 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his devoted wife of 58 years, Edith M. (Buckley) Boudas, a son, Robert A. Boudas of Worcester; two daughters, Carol A. Boudas of San Diego, CA and Barbara A. Foster and her husband Jack of McKinney, TX; a grandson, Anthony Boudas and a grand daughter, Courtney Foster. He also leaves a brother, Paul Boudas of Naples, FL, a sister, Theresa Logee of Worcester, several nephews and nieces. A sister, Mary Askervitch predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Frances (Purinke) Boudas and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Boudas worked in construction and was a faithful member of the Local Laborers International Union of North America #243 for 50 years. He was also a member of St. John’s Church and the ITAM Club.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 29 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday, May 28 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worc., MA 01605.
