SAUGUS - Alyssa Marie Bergstrom, age 40, a former account manager, entered into Eternal
Peace on Tuesday, May 22.
She was born in Lynn, MA, on January 19, 1967, a daughter of David G. and Pauline (Deputat)
Bergstrom, but had been a lifelong resident of Saugus. She graduated from Saugus High School
with the Class of 1985.
Ms. Bergstrom was an account manager for various firms and was a former waitress.
She was recalled by her family and friends as vivacious, with a fabulous smile, and a renown love
for animals, especially her dogs Leroy and Hallie, and was a prize winning equestrian in her youth.
Alyssa was known for her exuberance, joy of life, and witty nature which she shared with her
family and many friends.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Annette and her husband
Thomas Edwards of Stoneham, Katrina Bergstrom of Saugus; her nieces and nephew, Ashlyn,
Emily, and Smith Edwards; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Her Memorial Prayer Service was held
Tuesday evening, May 29, in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home in Saugus. Memorials to the N.E. Animal
Shelter, 204 highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970, will be appreciated.
