Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday at 9am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Barbara A. (Crocker) McRae, died Tuesday morning at her home after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, she had been a lifelong resident, daughter of the late Elbridge B. and Ruth C. (McRae) Crocker. Barbara was a graduate of Brockton High School and earned her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State College. She had been a Physical Education Teacher at Brockton High School for 26 years. She was a volunteer at the Brockton Hospital; member of the Little Red School House Association; Bridgewater State College Physical Education Alumni Association and communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed crafts and attending her grandchildren’s school activities.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Melvin G. McRae; two daughters Patricia McRae of Middleboro and Barbara MacKinnon and her husband William of West Bridgewater, one son David McRae and his wife Carla of Raynham, seven grandchildren Jennifer and Camella, Patricia’s daughters, Billy, Courtney and Michael MacKinnon and Maggie and Mathew McRae, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and one brother Joseph Crocker of Punta Gorda, FL. She was the sister of the late Claire Repetto and grandmother of the late Elizabeth.
