John M. "Senior" Farrell, 53, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 20, 2007.
Born in Newton, the son of the late Francis and Norma (Harrison) Farrell, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
He was formerly employed by AT&T in Fairhaven.
He was best known for his passion and love in playing all sports, as well as being the #1 fan of the Yankees and the Colts. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; a son, John Jr.; a daughter, Shawn Barboza, and her husband Scott; a granddaughter, Tori; and his brothers, Frank and Bill.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation Thursday 4-7 PM prior to the service.
