Claire R. (Dussault) Constantine, 84, of East Freetown, died May 21, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Louis C. Constantine.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Almanda (Ruest) Dussault, she lived in New Bedford before moving to East Freetown in 1957.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, where she was a long time member of the Ladies Guild .
Mrs. Constantine was formerly employed by Cornell-Dubilier as a teletype operator for several years.
She was an avid reader and a Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Michael Constantine and his wife Claire of Winchester, H.M.C.S. David C. Constantine of Hartford, Wisconsin, and Daniel L. Constantine and his wife Kelly of Easthampton; three daughters, Anne-Louise Yergeau and her husband Fernand of East Freetown, Michelle Constantine and her husband Bill Martel of Millis, and Lucille Constantine of Center Barnstead, New Hampshire; a brother, Roma Dussault and his wife Pauline of New Bedford; a sister-in-law, Lucille Dussault of New Bedford; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including her beloved niece Jeanne Bernard and her husband Richard, of New Bedford.
She was the sister of the late Norman Dussault.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Thursday, May 24th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 23rd from 4-8 PM.
