Marion - Cecile A. (Forand) Phenix, 87, of Westport passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Sippican Health Care Center. She was the widow of Marcel L. Phenix, who passed away on January 22nd, 2007.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Omer S. and Eloysia (Lafrance) Forand, she had lived in Westport for all of her life. Mrs. Phenix owned and operated 2 school buses in Westport for many years, buses #4 & #8, and also drove buses for Laidlaw Bus Company in Dartmouth for many years. She was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Pauline B. DeMello of Westport and Suzanne C. Pacheco of Leverett, MA; 2 sisters: Martha Sorel of Raynham, MA and Jacqueline Allard of FL; 9 grandchildren: Sandra Rebello of New Bedford, Carolyn DeMello of Dartmouth, Christine DeMello of Dartmouth, Matthew DeMello of Dartmouth, Jill Perez of New Bedford, Jennifer Guimond of FL, Rhonda Heroux of New Bedford, Marc Pacheco of Sagamore, MA and Kevin Pacheco of Sagamore, MA; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Andrew Forand, Roland Forand, Normand Forand, Camille Forand, Omar Forand and Louise Forand.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, May 25, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
