Fall River - Kathleen M. (Halloran) Malenfant, 66, of Westport passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the wife of Armand Malenfant and the former wife of Frank Orr.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Ethel (O’Rourke) Halloran, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper at Klear-Vu Corporation in Fall River until retiring to care for her ailing father. She was also involved at the Westport Council on Aging. Mrs. Malenfant was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Including her husband, she is survived by a son: John Orr and his wife Kathie of Westport; 2 daughters: Diane Audette of Westport and Wendy Ponte of Westport; 2 step-sons: Paul Malenfant and his wife Annette of Westport and Dennis Malenfant of Westport; a step-daughter: Susan Malenfant of Fall River; 2 sisters: Mary Knipper of WI and Joan Bates of PA; 6 grandchildren: John Gagnon, Jr., Danielle Desmarais, Andrew Audette, Erica Ponte, Chelsea Ponte and Shelby Jean Orr all of Westport; a step-grandson: Nathan Malenfant of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Frances Halloran.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, May 24, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
